The Fabric Matrix: An exceptionally heavy Cotton-Polyester-Viscose denim blend that offers brutalist structure, unyielding fiber durability, and a surprisingly fluid breathability along the shredded strata.
The Architecture: The front legs and waistband are wrapped in a dual-layer "Erosion-Mesh" overlay. This completely distressed fabric has been engineered to fray naturally over time, revealing structural panels underneath.
The Rigging: The mid-thighs feature built-in, raw-edge cargo flaps locked down by twin eyelet-studded compression straps. These straps run horizontally into the side seams, adding mechanical gridwork to the silhouette.
The Heavy Metal: The lower leg portions are segmented by five parallel rows of heavy-gauge, high-dome silver dome rivets set against shredded cross-slits. The fly is anchored by a matching, custom metallic skull-sigil button.

Erosion Control: The distressed overlay is designed to look weathered but can unravel completely if subjected to loose machine agitation. This artifact must be washed inside-out inside a heavy canvas utility wash bag.
Washing: Machine wash cold on an absolute delicate setting. Do not use chemical stripping agents or softeners, which will cause the Viscose fibers to lose their grip and break away from the denim base.
Drying: Air dry flat. Never tumble dry; the 0.8kg weight combined with high machine heat will distort the distressed cotton matrix, warp the eyelet straps, and cause the heavy rivets to wear down the protective fabric boundaries.

The Terminal Decay Grid Shorts are standard issue for the Archive’s deep-trench explorers. Within the Order, the rows of high-dome rivets serve as symbolic tally marks of forgotten eras, while the heavily eroded fabric reflects the harsh atmosphere of the lower terminals. The eyelet straps allow the user to tighten the harness tightly against the flesh, locking the utility pockets down before descent. To step into the Decay Grid is to wear the very history of the ruins on your frame.
