Privacy policy

I. The Nature of Information Collected To facilitate your initiation into The Order and provide a seamless archival experience, we collect:

Identity & Contact: Name, shipping/billing addresses, email, and phone number.

Financial Data: Payment details processed through secure, encrypted gateways (Shopify Payments/Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our private servers.

Technical Traces: IP address, device type, and interaction data (cookies, pixels, and beacons) to refine the digital architecture of our sanctuary and provide relevant advertisements.

Correspondence: Records of any direct communication with the Architect.

II. Our Legal Basis for Processing We process your data only when:

Contractual Necessity: To fulfill your order and deliver your artifacts.

Legal Obligation: To comply with Portuguese and international tax and trade laws.

Legitimate Interest: To secure our site against fraud and improve the user experience.

Consent: For those who choose to receive our electronic dispatches (Newsletters).

III. Guardianship & Disclosure We do not sell your soul—or your data. Information is only shared with essential acolytes (Service Providers) to maintain global operations:

Shopify: Our digital foundation and hosting platform.

Logistics Partners: To ensure your artifacts travel from our global suppliers to your door.

Marketing Partners: To show you relevant artifacts on social platforms (e.g., Meta/Google).

Legal Authorities: Only when compelled by the laws of Portugal, the EU, or international jurisdictions where we operate.

IV. International Transmissions Broken Sigil is a global endeavor. Your information will be transferred outside of your country of residence, including to Shopify’s servers in North America and our fulfillment partners in Asia. We ensure all such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or equivalent adequacy decisions to maintain the highest level of security.

V. Sovereign Rights (GDPR & Global Privacy) Depending on your location (EEA, UK, USA, Canada, etc.), you hold sovereign rights over your information:

The Right to Access & Portability: Request a copy of the data we hold in our archives.

The Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccuracies in your record.

The Right to Erasure: Request the deletion of your data (The "Right to be Forgotten").

The Right to Object/Opt-Out: You may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising.

Non-Discrimination: We will never penalize an initiate for exercising their privacy rights. To exercise these rights, contact the Architect at info@brokensigil.eu. We respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser.

VI. Data Retention & Security We retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill your orders or comply with legal holding periods (e.g., tax records). While we employ high-level encryption, no digital fortress is impenetrable. We urge you to maintain the secrecy of your account credentials.

VII. Minors Our artifacts are intended for those who have reached the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we become aware of such a collection, it will be exhumed from our records immediately.

VIII. Updates to the Covenant The Architect may refine this policy as the brand evolves. Significant changes will be announced via our digital channels or updated here.
